NFTs Are Dead. Doginal Dogs Suggest Otherwise.

NFTs are dead. Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs sold for $430,000 in May of 2022. Today they sit at a floor price of around $10,000. The market crashed, hype died out, liquidity dried up, and everything went silent. I wasn’t a BAYC holder, but I did participate in the Solana NFT bull run with projects like DeGods, Sol Gods, and Solana Monkey Business. Those too have fallen, and there doesn’t seem to be any reversal in sight. Then came the Doginal Dogs on Doge.

BAYC floor price peak vs current levels

On January 11th, 2024, the Doginal Dogs came out as a FREE mint. Fast forward to today, and the price has gone up 46,500% since inception. A Doginal Dog will cost you $4,000 at the time of writing. Two weeks ago they were trading at $1,500. Over the last 7 days they are up 73% and just continue to break all-time highs on a daily basis. I must remind you this is all happening in a bear market. So why is this happening? Leadership and marketing.

Doginal Dogs price performance since inception

I’ve been quietly watching Doginal Dogs for about two years. Every time I sign on to Twitter — Crypto Twitter specifically (CT) — I see someone with a Doginal Dogs profile picture in Spaces or on my timeline. As the years went by, the presence of these dogs just grew stronger and stronger. These pixelated dogs are everywhere. You can’t outrun them. It came to the point where I didn’t even think, and I picked up two Doginal Dogs on their marketplace a week ago. Since that time, my investment has tripled in value. I got extremely lucky. Buy first, ask questions later. I then decided to look into the community and joined some Twitter Spaces.

Doginal Dog rank #302

What did I find in these Spaces? A cult. An absolutely dedicated group of people extremely passionate about the dogs. Talking about their favorite traits, rarity, fun banter, and who can move their way up on the leaderboard of owners. Real estate mogul Grant Cardone even attended one of the Spaces. He has 2.1 million followers on X. He wasn’t paid to join — he also believes in the vision of Doginal Dogs. Grant talked for a good amount of time and shared a ton of useful knowledge. I was extremely impressed and thought to myself, what did I just join here? What other community gets a guy like that to come on Spaces? None. Zero. This project is much bigger than people realize.

What I also found in the Twitter Spaces is that the ones steering the ship here are legit, bona fide marketing experts led by a guy with the Twitter handle Barkmeta. He hosts a Space every single day at 5:00 p.m. In fact, the Doginal Dogs host Spaces 24/7 nonstop. This is something I have never seen before. Bark and other leaders have a business mentality and take this project very seriously. This is the type of leadership you want on your side. In fact, Bark was a Bored Ape Yacht Club member. He has seen firsthand the good and bad things an established NFT went through. I believe that experience is crucial to running a successful project.

Doginal Dogs encourage the community to interact with each other, create their own businesses, support each other, and help push this NFT to new heights. This tight-knit community and strong leadership are the reason behind their success. I believe Doginal Dogs are still in the early stages of a much larger move. For something this early, the leadership, consistency, and community already feel far more established than what you typically see.

If this continues on its current path, I think it has the potential to reach — and possibly exceed — the all-time high levels seen during the Bored Ape Yacht Club cycle.
